Has anyone tried Eurodezigns 8500k HID lamps

I ordered a pair of 8500k lamps from e-bay for my mazda. Have any of you guys tried this before? If so what are you expiriences.Thanks.

Why 8500K? You should've gone with around 4300 K or lower. A color temperature that high will no perform very well in poor weather. The blue light will just glare right back at you in the fog and rain and you will not be able to see the road.

I got them delivered and I must say they OWN. Probably 3 or 4 times brighter than stock. Exteremely bright and they have only small bit of blue to them. So far I am very satisfied. And 8500k because K rating is the bulb's ability to project light, so 8500k will have project the light further than 4300k, and thats what I wanted.

You'll be sorry when you have to drive through poor weather. That light will just bounce off the fog and rain and you won't see anything.

K is not 'the bulb's ability to project light' K is color temperature. I dont know where you're getting your information. You want to be around daylight which is 4-5,000k.

I would have gone with 4300k, but hey, some prefer a bluish tint

But the only thing that concerns me about automotive lighting is the safety of others. Are they bulbs or did you purchase a HID Kit?
If they are bulbs, are they DOT approved? I mean, do they produce alot of glare for oncoming drivers? Many aftermarket bulbs are intended for show use only.

In anycase, most of the bulbs on ebay (i.e. from odd companies nobody has never heard-of before) tend to burn out pretty quickly; like in a few months.

If they do burn out unexpectedly early, check out bulbs from PIAA and Sylvania. Sylvania Silverstars should last alot longer, and I am not sure if they are still doing this, but PIAA actually offers a 1 year warranty on some of their bulbs.

Yeah. No higher than 4300. I have a set of OSRAM halogen 80/85 Watt H4 bulbs with the AutoPal 4656 Sealed Beam conversion kit. I love these lights. They are bright and they are E-Code. They have a very sharp cut-off, so they do not blind other drivers. Nobody has flashed me yet. I used to get flashed at with my old 35 Watt sealed beams.

Oh, these aren't even real HID lamps either. Your light output's gonna suck drastically.
