Adding factory backup camera to Silverado
Is it possible to add the factory backup camera system to a truck not originally equipped with it? I've got an '08 Silverado LT and have already gone through 2 YADA systems and the cameras are junk.Monitor still works but I got like 8 months out of the first camera and only about 3 from the second,so I thought maybe I could retro fit a factory system to my truck.Is the factory wiring harness already built with the necessary wire to sustain the backup camera?Is it just a matter of installing the correct dash unit and camera in the tailgate?
