Acura's are wonderfully balanced cars. Almost all honda engines are very smooth reving and deliver power very smoothly. If you want to drag race one, you won't be going very fast. They simply don't have the torque. However, if you know how to drive them, they are incredibly spirited cars. Even at their flagship luxury cars don't seperate the driver from the road like others do. IMHO the best automobiles in the world if you combine engineering, reliability, and all around driveability. My completely non-riced 1993 civic thrashes my Xterra on the street, will likely do 120 mph on the freeway, and gets 36 MPG to boot.

I agree with wqbang on this, I really miss my '95 Civic Hatchback. What a fantastic car for the dollar, great road feel and exellent zero maintenance engines. My CX was driving better all the time, once I reached 100,000 kms I was achieving 45 MPG on the highway, 40 city. I so wish I could have afforded to keep it instead of having to trade it in for this gas sucking road hog. But damn it sucked offroad (yes, I tried).

I was a Honda owner well before a Nissan owner, and will likely always be a Honda owner. I own a Nissan, but IMHO Honda makes better vehicles in general. Honda doesn't not make a truck though.

Nice mechanics but styling cant get anymore "vanilla" than a honda. I respect their build quality and popularity but there hasnt been one that doesnt bore the crap oughtta me (yes...Ive driven Integras and all that).
All you Honda owners can come out of the woodwork and flame me for that if you like. I think they are overpriced and about 10 years behind on looks.
Gimme a rear-wheel drive Holden V8 Sedan or something - or even a Subaru WRX but a Honda (or Acura) will never live at my house.
I looked after a loaded Prelude for a buddy (performance options etc) for months and drove it a lot....frankly I didnt like it.

I can respect your love for 'em though - I know Jens digs them. We all got our prefs. I dug the 94 Impala SS a lot for example.:bandit:

Hey, I still have my '89 CRX si and love it. Its just a two seat go-kart with a stereo. And for $20.00 in fuel I'll drive about 425 klm.
That my speed fix.
So what is it any ways, did most all X drivers have Hondas.

Talking

All of you are lucky compared to me. My first auto was a 1985 S-15 Pickup with the 2.5L 4 banger (no pickup whatsoever), but I did get it up to 95MPH but with a 4-speed manual you can bet the engine was wining like a bitch. My next and current vehicle is a '89 S-10 Blazer 4x4. Didn't know till afterwards there isn't much aftermarket for them. Its only got the 2.8L V6 which still sucks ass. Sure its a little bigger and a V6 but it weighs about half again as much as the little pickup. So when I get my Xterra its probably going to feel like a corvette in comparison.
