Revell BMW i8-Do someone make the correct wheels?

OK..I asked because, the spokes looks flat like real wheel and to me they don't look tubular like the ones I had seen.

I'm a product designer from Hong Kong and I'm currently producing photoetch parts and resin parts for 1/24 model cars. A set of wheel for revell BMW i8 kit will be available from late september. ...when you say "to fit with the kit tyres" do you mean that they'll be the same diameter as the kit wheels? Or that the tyres will stretch to fit over them? If you're going to make replacement wheels, I'd only buy them if they were the correct size, not the same size as the too-small kit wheels. It's only a matter of a millimetre or two, but correct-sized wheels will help the look of the finished model a lot.

Plamoz: Your wheels looks perfect and, as I see, they have correct dia. Please, explain us what did you do with the kit tyres? They look thinner.

Hi Matt,

As you can see the inner side ot the tire has a groove around, my wheel is designed to fit from the grooved side which can gained around 1.5mm more than the original wheel. My calculation was measure from the real i8 20" wheel and scale down to 1/24, as you can see the difference from my comparison photo, it looks pretty accurate to the real car even it's only around 1.5mm bigger than the kit wheel.Thanks!

Yes, I do. I have made the correct bending of spokes according to photos. But it is not so interesting for you at the moment to share. I have not enough free time for hobby, so this work will be done not so quick. If you want, I can share current status of work today evening, Moscow time.

Today I have reached the correct shape of the spokes. For me it's 90% of success in scratch building. Here I want to show you the matching of my 3D model to photos. And, I think, it will be the last update before I finished the wheel disc.






I have made the spokes a bit deeper for better strength.
