Would love to see yours after paint. I sprayed mine again and they're still pretty rough :/

The texture is a result of the printing process. It is pretty much unavoidable, but the prep should be minimal. What kind of primer did you use?

I didnt use primer on these in hopes it wouldn't fill in the lug holes and look puddled. I sprayed them a while back with no prep done (stupid mistake), but went back over them all with wet 1500 and came up with something BETTER... but still not the finish I'm looking for..

Re: 1/24 scale Enkei RPF1s

Here are the rpfs after 2 attempts to spray them. Compared to the Mugen MF10s the kit comes with that I sprayed with a similar silver.

Had to replace one after breaking out the whole face of an old one.. and a spoke snapped on this one while trying to wetsand. >_< Super brittle.

They look sweet! It seems like it'd be worth it to just use the 3d print as a master for some resin casts, to make it easier to work with and paint.

Re: 1/24 scale Enkei RPF1s

what about using filler primer or something, then lightly sanding that smooth

+1, you need some self leveling primer.

Re: 1/24 scale Enkei RPF1s

I agree with that. Like I was saying, I was trying to lay just light layers of silver to avoid puddling in the center and making the lug nuts disappear.

I broke one of these wheels as well. They are VERY brittle.

I´m sorry about that defect, i´m working on that to not happening again.I also have broken by now 4 sets, because i´m measuring the size to don´t broke them.
I´m changing the size to different model i have like the MB and this ones.
This picture is of the last set with the fatlace rim after priming them.

Re: 1/24 scale Enkei RPF1s

I think just for handling purposes, these should be remade with slightly deeper spokes so it doesn't throw off the looks THAT much, but will hold up against sanding/handling.
