Re: Finally a plastic McLaren from Fujimi
I had pretty much given up hope for a F1 GTR in plastic. If Aoshima does indeed decide to go ahead with it I will be EXTREMELY excited. The past couple of kits I have built of theirs have been a pleasure to build, great fit, very detailed and very well engineered. They are quickly becoming my favorite manufacturer!

Re: Finally a plastic McLaren from Fujimi
Aoshima has gotten better. They are paying more attention to detail. An example would be the Countach. Just a short while ago, though, there was a bit of lack of attention to detail. I'm thinking about the SL63/SL65 series. Good, but not as perfect as a Tamiya kit.

Re: Finally a plastic McLaren from Fujimi
If Aoshima really does the F1, I might even buy their MP4-12C....

Re: Finally a plastic McLaren from Fujimi
Detailed F1 would be long time dream come true. F1 GTR would be event better. Heck, I'll buy them all - road version, GTR short and long tail.
Please do it Aoshima !!! I'm sure it'll sell very well. |

If they make the F1 GTR that would certainly be a hit. I'll buy a bunch of them.

Re: Finally a plastic McLaren from Fujimi
Very cool. If they do a F1 GTR race they could make 10 versions and they all would sell. I gave them a few pipe dream kits I also wish someone would do. Maybe Fujimi would be better for the Ferrari 250 GTO 1964 rebody than Aoshima since they already did the chassis in their 1962 GTO. I think the 1964 Ferrari GTO has a more powerful masculine look than the original GTO. Its also the most valuable car on earth!!

Re: Finally a plastic McLaren from Fujimi
I think this is the only way to talk with one of the Aoshima's authorized agent and say him our wishes. McLaren F1 is one of our wishes yet, and nothing more. But Aoshima's agent answers to this wish the next: "we hope we can bring you a good news soon".

Re: Finally a plastic McLaren from Fujimi
I've found out recently that Fujimi has released F1 GTR in 1/43 in their True Scale series. They've released MP4-12C GT3 in 1/43 first
and then announced 1/24 plastic kit. I keep wondering if they might decide to do 1/24 F1 GTR as well. Though, judging by 911GT3R, Z4 GT3 and MP4-12C GT3, they would only do curbside kit. I would rather dream about full detail kit instead. But even curbside plastic F1 GTR will be wonderful. |

I still don't understand why no company released this kit to date in plastic 1/24. High demand = high gross profit, high interest = high gross profit. So why no kit ever? I think we'll never know. But lets keep our fingers crossed for one in the near future. Even i would get one and i'm not a mclaren fanatic. |
