Re: D1 BLITZ ER34 Skyline
Hello.
I repaired with styrene all the damage I did as I cutted out the hood, repaired the headlights. Removed a few molding lines, drybrushed some more detailing on the underside. I also nearly finished the wheels, the tyres are "used" now and the 5 spoke centers are painted with Tamiya smoke and a semigloss clear laquer. And this |

Re: D1 BLITZ ER34 Skyline
What an amazing wip. I'm totally amazed at what a daunting and intimidating journey you have gone thru with the tons of work and detailing you have put into this. From the fantastic engine and bay to all the details on the chassis. WOW. The interior is a point of great interest, as I think its beautiful. The cables in the doors are a great touch and its little things like that that really separate the men from the boys, lol. You build like me also, faster the the paint and glue dries but thats just more fun right?
"I screamed 5 times NO!!! and only one time Ahhh!!" -classic modeller's line. I had to laff at that too. This model is a work of art.

Re: D1 BLITZ ER34 Skyline
Masterpiece! Detail on the engine is great and I have to agree with earlier comments that the interior is beautiful! Builds like this is raising the bar once again and I find it hard to keep up...

Re: D1 BLITZ ER34 Skyline
Thanks very much guys!
Small update, lots of work... 80% of the wires and hoses done, I counted 36 when completed. I donīt know why Iīm putting that much into, I worked too fast again and messed around a bit Many of these wires wonīt be visible later, but hey, they are there. The exhaust is now connected to the turbo and wears heat protection foil, too. Still lot of work do: I need to do the strutbrace, airfilter, ic, hinges, oil and coolant hoses, cooler.... Please enjoy |

Re: D1 BLITZ ER34 Skyline
Looking awesome! Love the jubilee clips on the breather hose! It could easily be 1/12 with the detail you have there. What will you use for an Air Filter?

Re: D1 BLITZ ER34 Skyline
^^ Thanks
I donīt know yet, which airfilter will be used. I have 2 different resign ones from ThePartsBox. But the one is too small and the another one is oval. Maybe the oval one or scratch build . |

Re: D1 BLITZ ER34 Skyline
The level of detailing is making me dizzy, but I love it. I think the engine bay is fantastic how you are bringing it to life. Looking forward to seeing how you handle the air filter. By the looks of things, I'm pretty sure it will be a work of art.

Re: D1 BLITZ ER34 Skyline
Hey Risko, I just found the issue of TURBO Magazine with a huge 2 page picture of the whole engine bay. I'm gonna bring it home and scan it. Just wondering if you want it?
