Opel Omega B cartoon I drew

Heres a picture I drew to my friends whose car it is. It's an Opel Omega B 4.0 and as the model the Cadillac Catera, Vauxhall Omega and Holden Commodore (and thus Holden Monaro and Pontiac GTO but as a 2-door coupe version) are based on this car model.

Here't the reference photo I used:

And here's the final cartoon car drawing:

Notice the photos of my friends sitting in the car...

The technique used was the same I use always, a freehand pencil drawing is where my pictures get their shape. Then I scanned the pencil drawing and drew the lines as vector graphics in iGrafx Designer with the scanned drawing on a different layer, then moved the vector drawing to a graphics software (iGrafx Image, I'm not using Photoshop) where the color was applied using fill and airbrush tools. Finally used the light studio and added some lens flares and highlights. I posted ealier here my drawing of a Lotus Omega, the technique on that was the same.

What do you think. The friends who got this picture framed in gold colour frames, printed on a wax printer at least seemed happy. It took 2 evenings to draw this last week. I also took my sketchbook with me to the housewarming party where I gave the picture as a present and sketched some new pictures, which now just need the computer treatment...

BUT!! Someone correct me please if I'm wrong, is based on the Lotus Carlton/Omega???

The top box on the car you showed is the exact same as the Carlton's, and the first Vauxhall/Opel Omega was based almost 100% on the Lotus.

Makes sense if you compare the Opel Speedster/Vauxhall VX220 to the Lotus Elise, you get the shocking reality...
