Oil Leak 2011 Hemi

Noticed a small oil leak that seemed to be getting worse. Appeared to leak from the oil filter.

Took it in for an oil & filter change. The next morning, I noticed a spot of clean oil on the garage floor.

Since she has a new filter, it is unlikely that the filter is leaking. She has 29,000 miles and synthetic oil.

If it isn't the oil filter, what above the filter could be leaking?

Thanks for your help.

I have the best luck finding leaks by looking at night with a good flashlight...no daytime light interfering.

Re: Oil Leak 2011 Hemi

As fate would have it, the leak may have been fixed when the oil/filter were changed.

After inspecting, wiping and driving, i put fresh paper under the truck & voila, no leak so far.

Thanks for the help.

You know the oil pan is made of plastic so the drain plug torque is very important...don't want to overtighten and possibly damage the threads. The torque is 25 ft lbs.
