K&N High performance cold air intake

I was thinking of adding a K&N cold air intake and filter to my 2005 Taco 4x4, I was hoping for a little better milage and better performance, I have read pro's and con's of this type of filter, I don't off road so its just for every day driving anyone added one of these? Thoughts ?

Thanks-

It's either paper or cloth!
A ShamWow with a little fogging oil will do just as good as K&N filters.

Do a search K&N, or see Similar threads at the bottom of yours.

Cold air intakes have no effect on gas mileage if you have a fuel injected engine with oxygen sensors (which you do). They will give you a little extra power, but no mileage increase. IMO, a waste of money.

Unless you made an unheard of engineering study to keep the outside temperature, fuel quality, driving habits, tire pressure, etc, the same, and made no other changes while you were comparing, you proved nothing.
