16 september has passed. Any news of the release date?

By the way, I just checked Belkits website and BEL004 will be announced soon, if the blurry image is true, it looks a Mini WRC to me

Belkits/Domino said yesterday that in the end of this week they will have the kits on sale.

Where can I get these? They're really cool...

Also, what color is the top? Dark grey or black? Anyone know? It looks black but I can't be sure.

Re: 1/24 Peugeot S2000 / Fiesta S2000 - Belkits

On the German car version the base colors are black, white (roof) and dark grey carbon, I supposed it's made of stickers too.
In Monte Carlo it seems the car has same color on roof than on sides...
I spent some time around the car in Germany and will for sure do it again in France in a few days and try to capture as good as I can the excact color and livery details.
You will be able to purchase this decal set at Dominomodels.

Thanks, Phil. So, is the hood actually painted or is it a graphic sticker? I guess you could replicate the flat paint and glossy patches with decals over some flat paint? It looks to be an interesting paint job for sure! (Probably similar to the Audi A4 DTM car with the "plus" writing in gloss on a flat background paint.)

Re: 1/24 Peugeot S2000 / Fiesta S2000 - Belkits

I saw the final decal production file for the "Tanak"
This is the MC scheme, with "Carbon-like" graphics on the body like the real car.
Almost all the car is covered with decals, including beautiful ones for flat & gloss graphics. There's also real chrome decal (not silver).
Decals are designed by Pitwall and printed by Cartograf.

Re: 1/24 Peugeot S2000 / Fiesta S2000 - Belkits

Ok, a question for those in the know with Belkits about the Hirvonen/Rally France Fiesta WRC decals. Part of the body is gloss and part is flat. Looking at the decals, I can't quite understand why they made some of the decals with black filled in areas (I'd guess to be glossy?) and then have areas that are supposed to be flat have the same black filled in areas. Why? Do they have good pics as to what is what, in terms of glossiness? Other instructions? Or, does anyone have help for this? I'm pretty experienced but have never done anything like this. I suppose I could just apply the decals, clear it, mask and then put a flat coat over the appropriate areas. I was just hoping they'd do it another way...

Thoughts?

yes, you are experienced, and you will have no problem with painting a part, masking, painting other part, spraying gloss, ...
but a lot of people who are less experienced who wants to make this model, they will find it easier to work with. That is always something that you have to keep in mind.
If you make something to complicated, and people who are only beginning builders and they have a lot of difficulties building it, they will maybe lose their motivation .

and such complicated decorations, their will always be people who like it and people who want to do it another way.

i hope you understand a bit.

grtz
