Clutch
Just wanting to know if any1 has had clutch problems or slips when the increased the boost to bout 14psi, with the othe rstandard mods (air filter, exhaust etc) while still running the standard clutch!!
how much hp can the standard 1 on a 96 gts-t handle before it lets go?? |

Why don't you modify the clutch? If your clutch is slipping all the time, then you'll have to replace it soon anyway.

IT AINT SLIPPING AT THE MOMENT!

all depends on left foot! hahaha
i'm a certified instructor on clutch burning! kekeke just don't ride the clutch at all....and no fast take offs. Just bog it down on take off and no flat shifting. |

Its when you go to wheels spin and forget you have a full car load and it happens to be a very sticky road.. you jam it in second and wait for the car to start stepping out and smoke.... well somthing is smoking thats for sure...
Thats why my Brass Button clutch is dead... and 7000RPM takeoffs... Kevlar is ok if you have a good pressure plate.

kevlar and f*#king heavy plate is good...lasted me one year of hard use...i'm about half way thru it now....bit of a sore left leg after heavy traffic...keke

Yeah, funny when one legs is twice as large as the other :hehe:
I have used Kevlar and loved it, it lasted a long time with alot of Hell. I also had the problem at one stage of having a too lighter Pressure Plate.. that is annoying!! Slips just when you don't want it too...

Why worrie about your clutch its your back tyres that will get the punnishment :flash:

i got a standard GTS clutch and g/box in my R32 GTST and it hasn't slipped yet..... and i have been givin it death and it even lasted at the drags on friday, luckily
i am running extra boost and the usual mods, only time will tell how long it lasts though |
