Turbo NSX?
Honda! You're breaking my heart!
Hot, though. Anyone got any serious info on these turbocharged NSXs?

Re: Turbo NSX?
From what I understand, it's because the governing body kept slapping weight penalties on the NSX, though that may be just NSX lovers' takes on it... I want to hear it from more sources.

Re: Turbo NSX?
If anyone is interested, there is an enlightening article in the latest issue of Import Tuner dealing with Honda and the JGTC.
Toyota and Nissan are basically the "rule makers" in the sport. There is no reason they would make the rules for Honda benefit. The NSX is the most heavily penalized car on the track. Even then they managed to stay competitive. The last two years saw JAF take away the last advantage the NSX had... aerodynamics. Honda is a company founded on racing. Their competitors know this so when they cant beat them on track they beat them in board rooms. |

Re: Turbo NSX?
Looks like the hard work paid off, as NSX won the last event. Go Honda!

Please forgive me if anything is biased or not related or incorrect, but from what i learned the super gt/JGTC honda nsx has never been turboed, though i have seen artist renditions of turbo nsx's (2005 year) with side intakes. I personally believe that because it is N/A they needed to fit a bigger engine in the car and that is why it is some times substantially heavier than it's competetors. All of this is not varified information, just my opinion. Last edited by NSX Fan; 12-31-2007 at 12:33 PM. |
