03 siverrado damp weather starting problems

I have a 2003 Silverado 1500 V6 vin code x with 260000 miles, for about a week now in the morning when its damp out or when it has rained the truck won't start, it cranks fine but will not fire. once it sits for a few hours and everything drys up it fires right up with the first turn of the key. Does anyone know what the culprit might be?

when I saw the wet start issue I said ya this must be the V6 !

replace cap/rotor/plug wires. put a good amount of dielectric grease in the plug wire boot ends. also measure all the new plug wires for resistance... poor quality control these days ...

make sure the evap ac line is insulated near the ignition wiring / system components.

if you have that ac line near the cap you bet... that need be insulated.. then replace all that I stated.. with cap removed you should see the water damage/arcing carbon etc...
