SLK Stock CD Changer

My inlaws just recently purchased a '99 SLK. It has the factory cassette deck with changer controls. They want to add the factory CD changer. Other than going to a Mercedes dealership, where online would anyone recommend finding this unit? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: SLK Stock CD Changer

Hi, in my "new" '98 the changer was not working. The dealership couldn't find a replacement (the technology on changers changed around '97-'98). They couldn't fix it either. They put in a Sony 10 disc changer which is way better imo. It plays mp3, cdrw, bass boost etc. The drawback is that it runs on an FM modulator
(Changer must be off to listen to FM, nbd) and the control unit is mounted in the little cubby in front of the shifter. The stereo sounds awesome now.
