Angry 82 Scirocco Overheating Still!

ok so far in my 1982 VW Scirocco since it started overheating a week ago. ive taken the Heater Core out of the system and looped the lines that go to it. that did nothing. next i replaced the thermostat. that also did not work. that leaves 1 thing left in my experience with cars. the water pump. so i changed that. but to no avail. it still over heats. im not sure if maybe after the week i waited for the water pump to come in maybe the coolant needs to work its way through the engine a bit. but either way its over heating still and i dont know what to do. can someone help

Did you check if the rad fan works? There are thermostatic switches on the side of the lower left side of the rad.
