Cool Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT - Scale Production transkit - Kit Review

Hi,

here a review of an absolut GREAT transkit of Scale Production:

the raceversion of the Lamborghini Murcielago of 2004

Just the fact of having the choice to build one of these 3 versions ...

... makes it necessary to provide the customer with these decals:

Concerning the kit quality of Scale Production: just great -very good resin (no bubbles), lots of different material, coloured instruction, ....

Nevertheless some remarks to the fotos (... enjoy ...)

Interior: resin seat, dash, steering wheel, blackboxes, cage made of several parts, inner door panels, vacuformed console, styrene firewall, ...

Exterior: resin front w/ splitter, front wheel wells, skirts, 2 rear wings of different length, mirrors, rear lights (with vacuformed glasses, foil as a help to surround the windows with black, wheelnuts, ...

etched parts: just look - the rear wing can be fixed in different positions !!!!!!!!

disk breaks - several parts

Tires, wheels - alu- w/ styrene inserts, breaks, wheel center screw, fire extinguisher, fabric material for seat belts

Further 4 sheets of 1:1 reference fotos, building instructions, ...

Here are some photos of Scaleproduction of the building process

... one more remark: I have one transkit in my hands - and it won´t be the only one !!!!

look good. They made a good job.

I just wish they would make a transkit option for the prototype GT-R (which is street with different sides) Would have been a cheaper tk and I would have been more interested (not because it's expensive, just because I don't like those side skirts)

There is a lot of putty work to do on the front, but it will make a nice model

All merged in together. Whew, I earned my mod pay today...

Does the kit include the correct front lights? The rears are there but can't see the fronts in those pictures.

Looks great, but I never really knew how to cut the Vac formed clear parts.

But seriously, check out Amazing 43 (www.amazing43.com) as there is a good article on doing vacformed glass on there.

Yes, you're right. Probably SP did not include any headlights because each team has a different configuration, and regarding the engine I think it's possible to do something using the block from the kit, not easy, anyway.
