2002 Sonata 4 cyl. Timing Belt/Missing Teeth....
Need Help: 2002 Sonata won't start. Pulled timing cover off and alot of teeth are missing on rubber belt. Dual OHC, I THINK 8 EXHAUST valves. Check engine lite, code P0340. I changed the sensor. No start. I believe the belt jumped timing, 71,500 miles. Question: Are or could the valves be bent? How much damage and money? She just cranks with no start. Need your help. Thanks, Brian....P.S. The 100,000 mile 10 yr. warranty sucks. It covers nothing. 61,000 miles they wouldn't do my altenator under warranty. Missed it by 1,000 miles.
