Making of Escalade

hi, I'm building revell escalade which I purchased in hawaii last month. It was my first trip to america and I was really impressed by the streets of america. I wanna go to the main land someday. I bought 7 kits at walmart and this kit is one of them. I'll finish it as the memory of hawaii. mostly factory stock exept rims and grille. kit has no stock rim option. body color is silver sand and interior is gonna be in beige. I've finished chassis and preparation of interior.I don't have a airbrush so I painted most of parts by using brush and finger exept body color and semigloss black for chassis I'll paint whole of interior parts tomorrow.

thanks.

Re: Making of Escalade

Nice job! What did you use to get the heat effect on the exhaust? Keep posting your WIP.

Re: Making of Escalade

dash done.

interior color couldn't become the color I expected, because the color I expected was more lighter and grayish.

Re: Making of Escalade

Looks great, the interior looks nearly perfect. The only suggestion I have would be to sand down the lettering on the muffler. You used a lot of detail on the chassis and the stamping info detracts from that detail. Can't wait to see it finished!

^ I agree. Sand it off! Makes it look like a toy.

Re: Making of Escalade

The interior looks amazing. Does the kit come with wood trim decals, or did you make those yourself?

Re: Making of Escalade

Great job on hiding all the seams on the seats.
Great progress so far!

Most of the kit decals are for the interior, and include the wood for the console and doors along with the door light lenses and AV gear faces.
I really need to get off my butt and finish the re-paint on mine.
