Snow tire law?
I thought there are laws that require you to install snow tires on your car during winter season. This afternoon, there was snowstorm in NYC area and I have seen cars getting stuck or getting into accidents. The Chevy Express 15-passenger van that I was riding in couldn't go up hills. On TV news show, there were shots of city buses and trucks getting stuck and getting into accidents.

Re: Snow tire law?
Only certain places require snow tires. I'd venture a guess it is only a requirement in 5% of all the US, if that.
There were several accidents in my area too. I don't have snow tires and I got around just fine. ![]()

Re: Snow tire law?
I think the only place in North America that requires winter tires is the province of Quebec.
