Car audio problems

I just bought a new Kenwood Dmx4707s (got a loan here https://maybeloan.com/payday-loans/mi for this) head unit and got some focal 6.5 installed in the front and back of my 09 F-150 single cab pickup. My speakers will sound really muffled and then go clear. It even does it while just sitting at a red light. It only does it when itís on the radio. Apple car play sounds great. I took it back to the installer and they replaced the unit and are now saying itís my antenna. Itís the factory antenna and Iíve never had this problem with any other aftermarket radio I had installed. So any ideas of what it could be?

Re: Car audio problems

The radio, antenna, and vehicle are engineered as a system. Sometimes it doesn't work very well when you replace one more of the parts of the system. Does muffled mean like it's not quite tuned in right ?
