dodge ram van b250 wont spark

van tries to crank but has no spark at all i bought new coil and rotor button but cant get spark to distributor any ideas, also the van has eletrical problems it could be part but what would be the most likly thing if eletrical where could it be any help is better than none

Do you have 12 volts going to the coil primary connections?

i dont have a volt meter but have tried power direct from the battery with no change

In that case, assuming it's a later model (you didn't post the year or engine) I'd go with a bad crank sensor, otherwise it's likely your PCM is fried.

sorry, its a 91 dodge ram van v8 5.2 liter

The 1991 had a crank sensor, so yes check that out first.

Without the proper test equipment you pretty much just replace it.
