Re: 1129HP BMW E34 M5 3.8 turbo

Unfortunately, the s38 engine, under 23.5 lbs of boost and a 350 shot of n2o, probably wouldn't last more than 20,000 miles on the street before needing a rebuild....

true...but i'm doubting that the owner does much street driving with that thing. in which case the car probably lasts even shorter being that has to do run after run on the drag strip

Thumbs down

That seemed kinda slow for 1129 HP. I ran an 8.99 in a single turbo Mustang with 862 RWHP, at 3300 lbs. And I love the parachute! It was trailing off to the side! That usually means you're going too slow to need it.

Keep dreaming about what?! Do the math, or have someone that KNOWS how to do it, do it for ya. Learn about what you're talking about before speaking.

Very impressive no doubt, however I would have to agree that with 1129HP it could/should run a bit faster? Of course, torque and gearing are just as important.

Nice run for sure.

I do agree it was slow for 1100+HP. Seen heavier cars pull 10s with less horse power.
