DP 15 vs. L7 15 HMMMMMMM

SOOOO anyone whos heard a death penalty 15 (prolly just noah and mike) i need soem serious opinions. i was lookin for an spl setup, for a daily driver. i want it loud, but i also want it pretty deep.

on that note, how does it compare to saayy.. an L7 15?

the fs is a little high IMO but hows the low end extension? id like to hear strong notes into the high 20s at least.

its way more than i was gonna spend (i can get an L7 15 for 250) but ill have 1200 wrms and if the DP will kill it then im all over it. plus id like to not end up with kicker again (theyre nice but id like to get away from mainstream to see whats out there)

help me out

Port it tuned low, and it will fill your wnats and needs. Oh...and it'll stomp an L7 15...period.

Sure, if you want a woofer that is inferior to the other two (in the aspect that he's looking for), and also WAY over-priced...

ya i was gonna say, from looking at it and reading about it a better comparo would be a kicker Solo X or w/e their top of the line square woofer is... and even then i would put my money on the DP....and the DP is cheaper than the SoloX

Re: DP 15 vs. L7 15 HMMMMMMM

i dont know about that.. i dont think a DP could hold a chance against a solo X.. they handle liek 5kwrms or somethin.. and much more surface area.. theyre full out competition subs and sound like shit.

the DP would get loud while still sounding decent.. like the L7.. abotu same power handling, L7 has more surface area, but DP has more efficiency and more excursion (linear and perhaps even suspension).. theyre definately comparable.. but yeah the DP i was guessing would be louder

thanks for replies

DP can take WELL over 10k watts for burps/competition...one has taken 16,000 watts during competition for a burp. The DP is like .3dB's behind the MT and .3dB's behind the DD 99XX series...

Just wait, IA's gonna be skullfucking people by the end of the year...guaranteed. peace
