Re: Bow Before Thy Mater, Bitches (Pics/ My Project)

well i can get it for $190 shipped from a reliable and trusted dealer with a 1 year warranty....granted it isnt a factory warranty but i have had to use the warranty on one of their products before and they honored it...

Re: Bow Before Thy Mater, Bitches (Pics/ My Project)

honestly, the only Vibe series that did its rated power (a bit underrated) is the vibe 1200d. Old lanzar amps were nice. Its ran by some, well who the hell knows what they're ran by now.

But if it comes with a warranty, at least its better than not having one at all. Can't say how long it'll last though.

Re: Bow Before Thy Mater, Bitches (Pics/ My Project)

That's the way the resin is supposed to be

No fiberglass reinforcement on the inside, why did you angle them straight out instead of slightly angled towards you? Just wondering imaging wise...

Re: Bow Before Thy Mater, Bitches (Pics/ My Project)

im wondering also, tweeter imaging is usually best aimed at the dome light, or up high cross firing

u went thru all that work and left them like that?

Re: Bow Before Thy Mater, Bitches (Pics/ My Project)

they will be aimed at the windsheild, you cant tell but they are slightly slanted towards the windsheild and remember, RE's has the swivle mounts... they can be aimed pretty much any way you want them to be...

Re: Bow Before Thy Mater, Bitches (Pics/ My Project)

Bass sounds better reflex...but tweeters are supposed to be aimed somewhat towards the person, or to a common point in the middle but still towards the person. Better imaging...good thing they are swivel mounts to you can adjust

yup

i still think u should have mounted them in a different spot tho, that location isn't the best, especially if you made them specifically to get better imaging -_-

Diotto/\/\/\/\/\/\

Of course I didn't do that. Mine are also pointing kinda towards the windshield but I had to since that's where the OEM tweets were.

Re: Bow Before Thy Mater, Bitches (Pics/ My Project)

RE's are so damn harsh, ive played around, im not looking for SQ top of the line imageing, but they are easier on the ears when they are reflaced agianst the windsheild, imageing is actually pretty good. and they are damn loud, i am scared of what is going to happen if i put 50w on these things...im getting 10RMS right now per chanel...i was going to buy a Cadence q3000 for $120 but i would rather have new, im looking at a cheaper profile amp. and when i designed them i took the swivle mount into account, they are only slightly pointed forward, so i could still swivle them all the way back to me for where they are pointed towards me but not directly on axis with my ears.

I'm thinking about fabing my tweets into my dash... If I do it I'll make sure to take plenty of pictures so there will actuallly be visuals of properly aimed tweets.
The FG isn't bad, good way to learn...

Tis true, I don't know how he thinks they're harsh when he doesn't even have an amplifier on them...lol

I guess you're just not used to it, or it's not balanced out enough. You're HU is zero-d out correct? I mean, I had 230rms per side going to my components, with no attenuation and it was DANDY!

Re: Bow Before Thy Mater, Bitches (Pics/ My Project)

once agian you dont know WTF you are talking about. I had a cheap ass sony amp on them for a week or so to see how they sound, with an EQ they would be fine but they sound better TO ME aimed at the wind sheild when runnin them off of the HU. which is what they will be on for a while. i built them this way so that in the future if i wanted to tunr them around i could...
BTW, when i aim them at the windsheild it makes the music seem to come from the windsheild/dash, which i would rather have than coming from the doors... which is what they sound like when aimed towards me.
