Just thought I would share this. I picked up an '85 Xtracab 4x4 pickup for $500.00 and I just ordered a new motor for it for $1,700.00. the truck is perfectly straight with no rust, it has every power option, and its got new 31's on it. after I put in the new motor it will be an extremely trailworthy rig for $2,200.00. I hope to have it up and running soon, well as soon as I figure out how to shove the motor back in it....LOL. If anyone is interested, I'll post picks of the work in progress. oh yeah, if you live in FL and you want to go wheelin sometime look me up screwball420@cfl.rr.com

thanks. I just stripped the block down so I can return it for a core, I was hoping I could have both motors side by side so I can just swap the parts over......I'm gonna have a hell of a time putting that other motor back together. I got all the time in the world though, and I think I'm gonna need it.....LOL |

well the new motor is in. The first thing I did to it today was custom paint the block, EFI, intake manifold, valve cover, and various other nick nacks. I'll post pics later. I figure since the motor is out I might as well detail the engine, and engine compartment. that way when I paint the truck I won't have to hide the motor all the time. I bought the truck to beat on, but like any other Toyota I fell in love with it......now I have to customize it. don't worry ( as if you actually will ) this truck WILL see alot of off road action.
