Tamiya skyline r34 gtr

I started this two weekends ago and made really quick progress on it. Didn't take many pics as I was on a butnof a roll. I painted the body before I touched anything else and it went perfect nothing needed touching up so I'm very happy with that.

The only thing I did different from the directions is add some carbon

Painted a load of detail onto the chassis to realise later that the undercovers will cover it up.

Very nice! There once was a time when this place was wall-to-wall Skylines, but now it's a nice change of pace... how strange! And yours is excellent, the paint is gorgeous and it's coming along really well. Can't wait to see more!

based on the hood, it's the r34 v-spec. the v-spec II has a naca duct on the hood. and iirc, an extra wing strut set which is higher than the stock one.

Yes just the v- spec, I might buy the Nismo detail kit for the wheels and exhaust as they really let the car down

Re: Tamiya skyline r34 gtr

It's getting very close, just waiting on nismo wheels, exhaust and side skirts.

Re: Tamiya skyline r34 gtr

Finally my nismo detail up kit arrived. It's actually really good and is going to make the model a lot nicer. I just test fitted on a couple of bits. I'll hopefully finish it tonight, undecided if I'll leave the wheels white or not

The exhaust is a big improvement over the twin exhaust that was standard

Re: Tamiya skyline r34 gtr

that detail kit is nice, be careful with the decals.
If they are anything like my set that i got a while ago the are very fragile

Very nice! Bayside Blue is my favourite R34 colour.

Paint those wheels! Gunmetal would be a good choice.

Re: Tamiya skyline r34 gtr

I've got a bit more done, I just have to add a few more details and it will be fully finished.

Should I leave the wheels white or should I go black
