Dome light will not turn off, door ajar signal showing as well

Help! I cant seem to get my dome light to turn off and the message on the dash indicates that a door is open (and they are not). The dome light switch is not on (hence the door message). Any ideas? is the switch at the bottom of the door fried? If so, how much are they and where to purchase? Appreciate any help.

Re: Dome light will not turn off, door ajar signal showing as well

Sounds like the switch is fried. Maybe the wires have been cut aswell somewhere. Probably want to undo the bulbs or disconnect the battery cable (neg) so battery doesnt die.

Probably Ebay will have it, dealer will, doubt auto parts but maybe. Salvage yard would, but probably have to pull yourself.

might be able to twist the wires together, but finding which one is messing up could be a bit of thinking. Might need a multimeter or something to track it down.
