JL audio Vs Image dynamics
Hey I'm trying very hard on picking the right subwoofer, but I just can't make my decision. What I do know is, I want 3 ten's, but you think you guys can help me out.
My amps are 2 Dei directed 600ds. I'm going to link the two and have a master and slave config. going. Both amps will be brigde for a single output, rounding out about 1200watts. For the JL's I'm thinking about the 10W3 v2 For the Image dynamics IDQ 10 v.2 One more thing the 3 tens will be wired either to 2 ohms or 1.33 ohms. Anyhelp is greatly appreciated |

I don't know anything about Image Dynamics, but the W3's are really nice subs. Haven't found anything that sounds as good as a W3. Well, until I found one that sounded almost as good, for half as much $

JL's are great subwoofers, a few other great names to look into would be Diamond audio and Rockford Fosgate, although, I think JL will be one of your best bets

just to let you know, I just put an elemental designs 12A in my car and it is very loud and clear. With the gain up half way on my 800x1 amp, and the bass boost set to half way, it already is louder than my previous setup of 2 jl 10 w0's. I've read many reviews and according to everyone who has heard them both, it is rated as being on par with a 12w7, but for half the cost. You might want to look into 2 eD10A, they would like around 900rms each but they're very efficient on lower power. Just read the reviews yourself, both on edesign's site and on the soundillusions forum
