Question 12w7

i have a 96 nissan pathfinder and i was looking to get a 12w7 in the sealed enclosure and run a KICKER 600.1 amp to it. My friend has a 10w7 in a ported box with a JL 500.1 amp and i was wondering which one would be louder. I was also wondering if i got a 1200.1 amp if it would drain my battery without a cap or a new alternator?
