Re: need info on 94 suzuki katana 600
Have you ever heard of punctuation marks? If we were to base your riding ability on that I would say start on a 250cc standard Katanas are fine beginner bikes in my opinion. Of course I'm a little biased as my first bike was a 1995 Katana 600. Plenty of power, decent mileage, a little heavy compared to most 600's of the day....I think a Yamaha FZR600 of similar years would be a better choice as it's a little sportier for about the same $$. It all has to do with riding within your limits and knowing when and how far to push them. And take a MSF course, they teach you the basics and how to ride safely with the rest of the public. I've had a few close calls and only one of them was my fault....playing MotoGP on the backroads

B16EJ1, I hear you man. If I could buy a new GSX-R750, I would do it in a heartbeat.

Get up over the front of it, down low, 3000 rpms, dump the clutch on launch and blast the throttle, if it feels like it wants to stand up give it just a bit of rear brake, and shift just before redline...if you can power shift, he'll never see anything but taillight...
BMW's are fast but not quick...that car goes 0-60 in 6.2...if you can't do it in 4 on your bike I'm gonna smack you...
