Yamaha Seca II XJ600 Lowers - fast glass lowers - plastics

I have a '93 Yamaha XJ600 Seca II. A friend of mine just bought the same bike as me, but a '92. Our bikes don't have the lowers, but we've seen other seca's with them.

Lockhart Phillips sells fast glass lowers for the Seca II's but only for the '96 and '97 models. The '92 and '93 seca's look exactly like the '96 and '97 seca's. I've e-mailed the people at LP but they gave me a vague answer. I asked them to give me the dimensions of the lowers or a paper template of it, or something to help me figure out if it will fit.

Anyone out there with a '96 or '97 Seca II that have the fast glass lowers from LP, could you please give me the dimensions of it, or even better, if you could make some kind of stencil of the lower. I will give you my address and I'll even pay for postage. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

I found this link

I dont see a lower, but I'm sure if you talk to them, they will be more helpful than the twits at LP. Air Tech is known for making one off pieces for people.

Keep it naked!! Less to keep clean. I hate cleaning my Seca II.

Just watch the overheating. I know even with mine fully naked (of course it still has the upper 1/2 fairing) that it tends to want to over heat when it sits and idles. Just a reminder that air-cooled bikes need to breathe. $.02

It's hard to explain. The bike starts to sound sort of "labored". My old bike used to have speedo problems when it was overheating, but I haven't found any similar things like that on my Seca yet. I mean, the light has never come on, but it just doesn't sound "happy" when it has been idling for a while.
