Code P0340 Cammshaft Position sensor circuit malfunction

My Mirage 96 with an engine 1500 got Check Engine light on at all times. It was scanned twice with two different scanners, but with the same result, Code P0340 Cammshaft Position sensor circuit malfunction. I went to a Mopar store to get the supposed bad part. They told me that the 1500 engine doesn't have that part. I need to verify that and a diagram to know where is that part located. Thanks for the advise.

on top of the engine head and on the opposite side of the cam/pulley or timing belt. its a round thingy with at least 2 nuts holding it to the rocker cover of the engine. There would be atleast 5 wires connected to it. It's the thingy mechanics adjust when you send your car for tuning....
