Re: Loving Aoshima.....
And the EF Civic is wonderful news! I have always appreciated that Aoshima has done all the in-between-subject matter and their molding and modelling has been on par with Tamiya since the 90s. Super sharp and clear, and they always nail proportion unlike Fu...
TLDR - Me too!

Re: Loving Aoshima.....
Beemax deserves a better recognition because they're the one who plans and develops those in-between subjects. Aoshima is helping Beemax in refining the tools and printing the box and decals.

Re: Loving Aoshima.....
Two fantastic GP B rally cars plus the Belkits Mk I Escort. Am I dreaming or is this really happening!
I need more shelves for more model boxes. Last edited by Kaj45rpm; 04-15-2015 at 03:47 PM. |

Its really exciting that a company can come out of (seemingly) nowhere and fill all these gaps in model subject matter. I don't care what people say about the hobby, it seems to be thriving, and its a great time to be building!

Re: Loving Aoshima.....
Aoshima blog regrettably admits that there will be no all-new-tool for 2015 Shizuoka hobby show, and wonders if it will have to be postponed until the end of the year.
It's a bummer for those who're waiting for Aoshima's Diablo kit, but I haven't even started their Murcielago SV kit yet, so the delay doesn't concern me much. |

Re: Loving Aoshima.....
Aoshima always had that extra feel to it. I was never disappointed in their cars.

Re: Loving Aoshima.....
Beemax's MP4/2 is also delayed from May to June. Aoshima's Gulf McLaren F1 long tail for the Japanese market has also been delayed for a few months.
Fujimi's Lotus Europe is also behind the schedule. Ebbro's F1 kits are almost always delayed. Looks like only Tamiya and Hasegawa's release dates are believable. |
