Just saw it on Facebook. Ebbro will be making a DS19.

Re: All new Citroen DS19 kit

Looks like a nice kit.
Ebbro hinted at the release of the DS19 at last year's Shizuoka Hobby Show (see the postcard)

Rumor has it that these classic subjects were already designed while Ebbro founder Mr. Kiya was still working at Tamiya, which may be true, considering the relatively fast release pace compared to Ebbro's F1 kits.
French cars might be his personal favorites, but I hope he does British and Italian classics, too.

Re: All new Citroen DS19 kit

Cool,

I'll definitely grab one of these, I just hope we see them soon and not be dragged out until 2016.

I'd really like to see EBBRO do a Morris Minor or MGB-GT.

Regards, Dan

It's nice to see Ebbro releasing some of our french legendary cars but I hope Ebbro will remember Peugeot is french too as there are a lot of classic models I would love to see (Peugeot 104, 204, 404, 504 and derivative - rallye, dangel 4x4)

Re: All new Citroen DS19 kit

If Ebbro have the rights to make Super GT cars on diecast, why they don't make these Super GT cars on plastic kits (1/24 scale) ?

You won't find it by searching for Ebbro because it's a Tamiya kit. Found one on eBay with a quick search, here you go..

Oh, thank you very much!!! I'll check this. I'm not so good at car modelling, sorry for my stupidity) By the way, I've found this site and my model here. But I'm not sure in the quality, I didn't use this shop before. Could you check and say whether this is a good site where I can purchase the model please?

If you're living in Dallas, wouldn't you want to get one within the U.S.?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tamiya-1-24-...item33755a5ae0
Or here
http://www.hobbylinc.com/tamiya-nism...24-scale-24161

I've used Hobbylinc before, and didn't have any problem. I'll be ordering some paints and kits some time in January.

Probably because those kits aren't expected to sell, or the company is not interested in making them. Choice of kits has a lot to do with personal taste of the company employees, in addition to the money-making aspect.
Relatively small companies like Ebbro and Beemax don't seem to be choosing subjects based on what's popular (what their distributors like to sell), but more like what the manufacturers want to produce.

You left out one very important thing that a lot of times comes in to play, getting to most use from the tooling, meaning finding a subject that can be done in several different variants with little modifications to the tooling to maximize the profits . The smaller guys dont seem to worry about that as much as the big companys.

I would love to see some current Super GT cars kits done.

Re: All new Citroen DS19 kit

The Citroen is a great news! I don't know why, exactly, but these cars are among my favorites.

I know its a bad habit of modellers, to get good news on a kit and ask for more, but maybe we'll get a Citroen SM one day?

Wonder if Ebbro will dip a toe into the rally car waters by offering some alternative sprue options? That would be way cool...
