how many miles does your 240sx have?
Also any major repairs that were needed. Just curious to see how reliable and long a 240sx lasts. Also please tell us if you have a KA24DE or SR20 engine.
Mine: 1995 KA24, 92k miles, had to get rear rotors, brake pads, tension mounts, belts, transmission and coolant flush, timing chain guide thing readjusted (engine made a weird noise before), overdrive button fix, some others can't remember - $600 |

1989 240SX Fastback New clutch assembly and gear oil teardrop rims w/tires new spark plugs New pads front and rear Z32 fuel filter cutout "nostrils" on the pignose bumper added zenki lip TDM pas. side fender new paint. It now looks just like the car on my sig recently got new tires for the rear removed resonator and y-pipe Need new exhaust(broken) a GReddy DD would do.. It now has 168,7XXmi. and still running It's a KA24E but it has red silicone on the oil pan and timing cover so it has been worked on before

fyi, nissan dealers use red silicone, so it may have been the dealer working on it.
car- 91 HICAS SE- 115,000 repairs- timing chain- chains, sprockets, tensioners, and guides thermostat sway bar endlink bushing clutch- pp, disk, throw out bearing, pilot bushing tie rods ends- inners and outers slave cylinder rear rotors extension pipe from cat to pre-muffler needs- steering rack (i've been putting it off-$300) because it leaks when i touch the dust boots on either side cruise doesn't work- if anyone has any suggestions as far as troubleshooting, PM me pretty good considering how hard i "play". i'm sure the tie rods, sway bar bushing, and steering rack going bad are from me taking turns posted at 30mph at 70mph . i love my car Last edited by spitz7985; 10-10-2003 at 02:36 PM. |

1995 SE, ka24de ... 47,000 miles ... only thing ive had to replace was a hose from the fuel pump that was leaking. The speedometer has been acting up lately though and i hear thats a common 240sx problem ... so i don't know what to do. other than that its been great.

Well, I payed 3000 for my 92 240, this was a couple years ago. It was near mint condition with just under 100k miles. Some old guy had it as a commuter car. Right now I got 132,000 miles on this one. Thats why this one I use as the daily driver. The other one stays locked up till the weekends.

Have a '91 with 167,000 miles. Changed out the radiator and fuel pump since I bought it three years ago. When I bought it, it only had 115K on it. Put new tires and chianged oil regularly, looking for new clutch in 5K. So far very, very reliable, cant beat these cars as far as reliability.
