4L, N and Four wheel sign lighting up on dashboard

the 4L, N and four wheel lights keep lighting up on the dash board. Each time this happens the vehicle begins to jerk and doesn't accelerate. The lights then come of and the vehicle shoots of until the lights come oh again and the same thing occurs again. Can someone please tell me if they have ever encountered this problem and if they have, what might be the cause. Thanks in advance

Re: 4L, N and Four wheel sign lighting up on dashboard

If it has electronic buttons for the AWD to be activated I'd give a look at those cables, my neighbor had that problem and we fixed it checking the cables and cleaning them. If you have the gear stick to select the AWD and 4L I don't know, could be a mechanical problem.
