heater blower problems

I got a 95 suburban and when I first got it the heater blower only worked on high and low but now it just works on high. at times i'll have to tap it to get it started. Is this the fan or a switch?

check the resistor/connections to the blower motor.

trace down voltage loss or if voltage at motor and it is not running at the lower speeds the blower motor may be defective where it now requires high speed voltage to operate.

Re: heater blower problems

Looks like it's on top of the hvac housing behind the glove box. Glove box will have to come out.

This is correct. The resistor pack has 4 wires. However, before you change that out you should check for voltage from the switch to the resistor pack. You weren't clear on what it was that you had to tap on to get the blower to work somewhat.
