Ford Escort 1993 Replace master cylinder and power booster problem

Hallo

This is a wagon in great condition. Brake pedal was traveling and shop replaced master cylinder, no change. New shop replaced power booster, no change. Technical.bulletin Article No. 98-5A-15 says revised MC and PB must be used to replace for vehicles before 1994. There are 3 pages. Question is what part numbers for these parts. Car is an automatic. As soon as we determine this, the parts will be replaced. Anxious to order the correct ones. Help please.

Thanks

Ask the parts dept at the dealer. The brake booster sometimes has to have the push rod adjusted to work properly.
What type of problem are you having?

Re: Ford Escort 1993 Replace master cylinder and power booster problem

Is the master cylinder reservoir using any brake fluid? I ask because I had to replace the brake lines from about under the driver's feet to the rear of the car due to rust. The leak was very slow, and was invisible unless you were under the car looking straight up next to the fuel tank.

And yes, the adjustment of the rod between the booster and master cylinder, and between brake pedal and booster may be a problem.
