ROFLMAO.....I wondered how long it would take for someone to simulate a turbo sound. Too funny...just like those simulated dog sounds when you knock on a door.

Usable HP
some people have mentioned that 250 HP (at the wheels, right?) is about the right usable HP for the gearbox and the chasis.
from what i've gleaned off the ser-list the people who went 400-500 HP engines really didn't equally invest as much in their gearbox to accomodate a hyper-turboed engine. and what would a 250-300 WHP do in the 60 and the quarter? as for the chasis would an internal cage such as al abadilla's? help in this department? |

Mike Kojima is working getting a Quaiffe gearset made for the SR20 gearbox (not to be confused with the Quaiffe limited slip diff).

Mmm... Quaiffe!!!! :licker:
They're the super-elite european racing tranny guys right? Any idea how much the tranny will cost? I'd love to get one after getting the DET, as the main thing I'm scared of is the tranny getting abused! |

Gearing is a bit taller than stock since it's mostly the turbo guys who really need it. After the initial group deal, the price will be higher I believe.

Ouch...
I could see $2000-2500, but over 3000 thats just gonna take another couple minutes to convince me! I'll keep it in mind after I have a DET. |

Re: SR20VET available?
The Nissan X-Trail comes stock with the SR20VET in Canada. The 240sx drivetrain can handle 400hp without mods. See: http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/tech/0205scc_silvia/
