Need help with Hit and Run
I was the first to arrive on the scene of a fatal hit and run accident. It was a shocking site and to make matters worse I was charged with the accident! To make a long story short the charges were dropped because there was no damage to my truck and whoever hit the person left a part of their car behind. we need help identifying the part. I have looked through on line parts books for weeks without success.
car part001.JPG If anyone can identify this part (year make and model) of the vechile it fits it would be a big help to the police and the family of the victim. thanks, Ted PS I can pm a larger picture if needed |

How very unfortunate. I am sorry this happened to you.
Approx. how long and wide is the part? Is it metal or plastic? |

Re: Need help with Hit and Run
The part should have some sort of part number or identifying mark on it , take that to the parts dept of every local car manufacturer ( i.e.-Ford , Gm , etc. ) and see if they can identify the application of the part found on scene of the accident . Might be a long shot but worth trying - good luck !
