Taking tires off one set of rims and put them on another car

Alright, not sure if this is the right place, but I hope it is. Anyway, I am getting my permit and my mom is giving me her old grand Cherokee (97' or 96', i forget). Anyway, before I can bring it to my dad's house to get it in fully working condition she wants me and my dad to take the tires off of the rims of the old Cherokee and put them on her newer one (04'). I'm fairly sure the tire sizes are the same, so that's not my problem. I'm just not sure how to do actually take the tires off and then put them back on. From what I can tell taking the tire is fairly simple. Just use a crowbar and pry it up after deflating it. How about putting tires on the other rim? Tips or tricks anyone?

The simplest and quickest way to do this is to take it to a tire shop and pay them to do it . They have the tools , equipment , and know-how to quickly and safely do it without damaging anything . It can be done at home using various makeshift tools but I guarantee at some point you'll wish you had the tire shop do it . Just my - Good luck !

I've changed a tire with hand tools once - never again. Go to a tire shop and pay for it. They will need balanced anyway.

You can change it by yourself but for that purpose you needed the specific tools if you have so it's very easy to change the tires. You have another way go to the garage and change the tires from there and try to learn how they are changing, then next time you will be able to change the tires at home.
