well.... 240sx does not always = silvia

you see the s13 silvia never really came to the US, it came as the 240sx, with flip up headlights and had a hot hatch (if you wanted) they also had different engines, silvia sr20, the 240sx had a 2.4 liter 4 cylinder non turbo hence 240 = 2.4 liters just like 350z = 3.5 liters, the engine goes for the same idea for all 240s, so the silvia body came for the s14 except the engine still did not join the car

in conclusion: 240sx does not equal sivia

(i think that is correct, correct me if im wrong)

No s-chassis car comes with engine detail, so it's a moot point.

Here's another good one.

Mitsubishi 3000GT = Mitsubishi GTO.

They changed the name when they brought it stateside so as to not offend devotees of a certain Tempest option package.

Of course, I've always though that it was silly because both cars swiped the name from the greatest sports racing car the post war period has ever seen, and will ever see again; The Ferrari 250GTO.

While we're on the Mitsu subject, could anyone please explain to me the whole Lancer/Carisma thing? Sometimes I see the cars called Carismas in Japan, sometimes Lancers, and they almost always refer to them as Carismas in Europe, but call them Lancers in Europe too.

So WTF?

Another Lancer note: The USDM Mitsu Mirage was basically a re-skinned Lancer, that didn't use the Lancer name here because Dodge had sold a "Lancer" in the US in the 70's. Nowadays, since DaimlerChrysler and Mitsubishi have developed evern further their ties, they've been allowed to introduce the Mitsubishi Lancer brand into the US.
