Re: plymouth grand voyager electrical problems
I've moved this thread to the Caravan/Voyager forum.
There was a common issue that would cause stalling in some of these. I don't recall which model years or exactly what the cause was. I think it had something to do with the Auto Shutdown (ASD) relay. I think those issues also typically threw a diagnostic code. Have you checked for current or pending diagnostic codes? -Rod |

Re: plymouth grand voyager electrical problems
Which engine? Engine cranks fine but won't start correct? The typical fault is a bad crank or cam sensor or associated connections/wiring. The PCM needs both signals to establish timing. If it doesn't see it it will crank all day, just won't start. They often fail without throwing a code. No spark and no voltage at the coil connector while cranking is one indicator. Next comes fuel. Depress the test port stem on the fuel rail. If fuel quirts you can assume there's good pressure. If it dribbles out you have a pump issue. Best test is with a pressure gauge. Should see 49 +/- 5 PSI.
Clicking relays are an indication of weak power either from a weak battery or poor connections in the circuit.
