chances are the z will beat the evo on a roll cause of the Z torqueyness.. well it will be a close race.. and domestics are cheaper in america.. becasue exactly that.. they are DOMESTIC.. lets ignore the fact that the cost a fortune outside america for a big ass V8 since we are lookign at price right?.. domestics have the edge in america cause this is their market.. and they still get smoked.. plus they cant turn for shit.. jpn and european cars will always be superior to yank tanks.. the only sports car america has is proally the corvette z06..my .02

I live in the USA and so do you, so who cars what the prices are outside of the USA. And there are 3 car companys that are domestic, and 3 sports cars that are domestic. The chevy z06, which is about to be revamped in c6 form to 500hp at 32mpg(might not be called z06 anymore), I would like to see an import beat that. The dodge viper, masive 500hp v10, light body and with a turbo kit can be at 1700HP, once again screw hp/liter, total hp is greater. And last but not least, the ford GT(GT40), should be in the 500hp range mid engine, excellent handling, and all that good stuff. There is no stock import that can compeat for the price, sorry.

And now im sure I will hear all about how a civic can beat any of them with blah blah blah under the hood.

point was, US cars like the Maxima and Altima dont have

other cars., and the ones made in japan, but again, I was talking
US Nissan cars.

Stealth may be faster, like I said take out its twin turbos
and youll see the Maximas tailights. You dont know much
about Nissan engines if you say the turboed engines are
the ones only worth anything.

how much is the new corvette? and the Viper? and the GT40? and how about turboing a damn viper? im sure its not just a simple bolt on. These cars are well out of ne import car's range. these are supercars that cost well over 50grand. fine ill cop a bugatti 16/4 veyron and ill smoke all ur asses. Im not dissing on domestics. granted i dont like them. Hell if i had the money id get a corvette, a gt40, viper but id rather get a porshce or a bimmer or the vantage, just cause they are nicer in my opinion

if the car comes stock with trubo' thats part of the engine you say take the turbo's out and it will see its tailights of coarse, if mitsu wanted to make a engine nonturbo that could run 15.0 in the 1/4 they could. but they didn't so don't complain about turbo's nissan sure did turbo a lot of there cars.

Re: 0~60 and 1/4mile times

hey import freak, which evo were you talking about? because the evo VIII would eat a z-car. i am the proud owner of a 300zx turbo, and a evo, would eat me.... but like i said, depends on the evo.

My comment about the z06, viper, and gt40 are based around your statement that the US has no sports cars. I didnt realize by sports cars you were talking about grocery getters. My mistake. You were refering to camaros, mustangs and the such, which arent sports cars.

FYI the Jap sports cars were priced in the same range as the corvette. And by sports cars im talking about the 3000GT, Supra, RX7, 300ZX. Japan hasnt sent a sports car to the US in some time now, and no the 350z and rx8 dont count. The new market is the grocery getter turned into a rally car.
