Protege (2001) will not turnover
Mazda protege 2001 automatic:
2 days ago my protege stopped starting up. By that I mean it worked fine and then I parked it, came back an hour later and it wouldn't start. Just a click and then nothing. Boosted it and it started. Drove it for about and hour and shut it off - started up fine. Let it sit for 30 min and back to same problem. Now I can't even get it started with a boost. Decided to take battery in to get it checked out - passed initial load test but failed on the full test. So I buy a new battery and installed it. Same thing when I turn the key - just a click. Never gets to the point of turning over. Decided to jump it just in case, still the same problem. Seems to have all the powers there (lights, radio, etc). So I have a new battery in it but cannot get it to turn over at all. appreciate all help Steve |

Sorry for late response this area is not getting much attention, you probably had this fixed by now but all the signs pointed to a failed starter.
