Re: TVR vs. Porsche
This is tough for me, because I love Porsche, but the Tuscan seems like an awesome car. Um I can't decide, well I would take the Tuscan S, just because I live in Southern California, were I see so many Porsches it is amazing. Once in LA I saw 4 911 Turbos in the span of 2 street blocks (or approx. a 1/4 mile). Plus the Tuscan S bang for the buck is amazing.

Re: TVR vs. Porsche
I second that and pick the TVR although I really like Porsches. TVR is rare and it is ABSOLUTELY one of the most brutal looking cars I'v ever seen...

Re: TVR vs. Porsche
TVR's are great and I'd take one over the Porsche as a second car.
But if I wanted a driver, then it's the Porsche.

Re: TVR vs. Porsche
You pick the porsche up, give it some roses and take it to dinner at an expensive resturant. You do the full 3 courses, enjoy some nice wine and have a coffee to end the meal. Then you use the "would you like a coffee" line to get it inside. You sit on the couch for a short while, then things progress to the bedroom. You get undressed in seperate rooms, you meet under the sheets with the lights off, you both enjoy yourselves, have a wonderful evening but your asleep by 1am. In the morning you have breakfast in bed (how naughty!) then decide its a lovely day to goto the Zoo.
The TVR comes over to your place, your at it before you've gotten all your cloths off and you don't make it near the bed untill 1am. Breakfast dosn't happen till 1pm the next day, and although you would like to goto the Zoo (you need a rest), you can't figure out how to rescue your underwear from the ceiling fan. Ill take the Porsche out on week nights and use the TVR on the weekends.

Re: TVR vs. Porsche
Porsche if you want status and speed, TVR if you just want speed...and a little more of it for less money, too.

I think one of those mega-rare TVRs will give you the same status (or even better) as a Porsche. If you need that, btw.
I'd take the TVR, just because Porsche is too common here. And the TVR's got fresh looks and superior sound. cu

Re: TVR vs. Porsche
Tuscan S retails for around £50k, that's $91k at current exchange rates.
Personally i'd go for the 996 Turbo. Not a big fan of the Tuscan's looks though its pace is fearsome. 996T is probably quicker on real roads and is a more 'polished' performer. That's not to take anything away from the Tuscan S (which is great VFM btw) but it's a little too wild for my liking. Once the back goes, good luck catching it. |
