95 Chevy starter drag

I have a 95 1500 4wd 5.7 starter dragging. Starter checks ok, battery low so we charged it.

the starter drag may be due to the bushing being worn or having dust . I would remove starter and have it tested. when installing make sure the flywheel teeth are good. make sure the clearance between the starter gear and fly wheel is about .o30/.060 about a 1/16th of an inch.

load test the battery.
