Clutch problem

Model: Skoda Fabia Classic Estate 2001 51 plate.

I have had my car off road for 3 weeks and while driveing I found it hard to take it out of 3rd gear, then after this I found it hard to put it into 1st gear (Really stiff). When I came to a stop in traffic I could not put the gear into 1,2,3,4,5 or reverse. The gears didn't grind, but I noticed that the clutch pedal had fallen so it was a few centimetres from the floor.
Would anyone hazzard a guess to what could be wrong with the car?

Many thanks,

Ed
