Adding remote trunk release to a 1990 Miata

Has anyone done it, how hard, any ideas would be helpful before I start this project.

Sorry for the late arrival if u still haven't completed the proyect it wont be that complicated just need to pull the carpets off the carpet behind the seats and the one on top where the top come to a rest when in the down position, u may have to remove the steel plate behind the seats for better access but once there follow the path of the gas tank opener with the new cable u can even strap them together and continue to route it around the trunk area you may need a new trunk latch in some cases u dont. you can get this at a used yard if you pick it up at moss motors (miatamania.com)everything they sell comes with instructions that should easy off the pain. god bless.
